About him
From Norfolk originally but find myself living in the Essex countryside (it's underrated - honestly!) and working in London. Driven by lock-down to finally get myself organised - I'm divorced and ready to start looking for a companion again. I have two children aged seven and ten, so any potential partner would need to be 'child-friendly'.
Bit of a foodie and possibly happiest when in the kitchen, planning/cooking a nice meal with some music (folk, blues) on in the background and a beer/glass of wine in hand. Love going for long-walks (sometimes involving steep hills) and try to keep myself in reasonable shape with running / gym sessions, tennis (enthusiastic but limited) and boxing. Enjoy watching live sport (especially rugby, football and cricket) when I can. Other interests include psychology, reading and a nascent passion for gardening. Very happy at home in front of the fire (and with a fairly simple/pared back lifestyle in general) but enjoy the odd trip out to the pub and/or a restaurant.
Future plans/goals: would love to finally get some chickens, go skiing more (inexperienced but enthusiastic), get a dog (when time allows) and start travelling further afield than Devon/Cornwall (both of which I love by the way).
About his ideal match
Ideally someone with similar interests to me (food, sport etc..) but wouldn't want to be too dogmatic / prescriptive. Kindness, intelligence and humility are traits I value highly and would place above common interests. A sense of fun, along with irony / a dry wit, are also very welcome.
My children currently reside with me half of the time, so (in the long-term) any potential partner companion would need to embrace the next generation (they're good fun - most of the time)!
